In the heart of the Ellsworth Mountains, 1200 miles inland from the coast of the Antarctic continent and only 750 miles from the South Pole, the Vinson Massif is one of the most remote and inaccessible summits on earth. Most of the continent of Antarctica is covered in deep ice. Heidi strives to climb Vinson Massif in December 2007.
